Shahid qualified in 2000 from University of Kashmir and in 2004 he came to UK for further education and training. He worked as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in different hospitals across UK and through examinations gained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of The Royal College of Surgeons of England and completed the statutory exam from GDC for practicing in the General Dental Practice.
Shahid started his career as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Derbyshire Royal Infirmary. Seeing his dedication and enthusiasm for oral surgery he was promoted to Specialist Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS, performing oral surgical procedures and assisting in cancer and orthognathic surgeries. Shahid was also involved in the teaching of dental/medical graduates and senior house officers.
Shahid started working in General dental Practice since 2009. He’s completed multiple courses on implants, restorative dentistry and short-term orthodontics. Shahid has continued his keen interest in surgical aspects of dentistry and has been placing implants since 2014. He has attended multiple courses on Dental Implants and is currently pursuing the acclaimed Diploma in Implant Dentistry conducted by FGDP.
He has also completed Certificate Restorative courses by Prof Paul Tipton and attended short-term orthodontic courses for 6 months smile and C-fast. He is married with three children and when not working enjoys spending quality time with his family. Being an avid sports enthusiast Shahid enjoys playing sports especially football and cricket.
